Bakuriani
A famous mountainous resort of Georgia, a real paradise for Ski-lovers, the winter sports center of international importance- Bakuriani is situated in 29 km from Borjomi, at 1700m above the sea-level, in sub-tropical zone, in the Caucasus, on the sides at Trialeti range.
Perfect mountainous air, evergreen coniferous forests, high ultra-violet radiation- create favorable conditions for ear- and sun-bathing, the last to be more affective in March. The snow covers reaches 50sm. and remains for 4-5 months.
Cable-ways, ski-jumps, ski-treks, horse-rides, horse-drawn sledges, snow-bikes-all are good for active recreation. One of the most interesting places to visit is a botanical garden of high-mountain --- alpine and sub-alpine vegetations. There are about 1500 species of plants represented here.
The garden covers 17ha and is the most beautiful and amazing sightseeing for all the visitors.
